“Pelvic floor” is a group of muscles that attach to the front, back and sides of the pelvic bone. These muscles support the organs in this region: bladder, uterus or prostate and rectum, urethra and vagina in women. This group of muscles, when is well coordinated controls the bowel and bladder functions. Many people experience issues in the pelvic floor and they can’t define the cause of certain symptoms such as leaking during exercise, pain in sexual activity, tailbone pain while sitting and many more. PF dysfunction can be diagnosed from our physical therapists that are specially trained in treating PFD and define your condition during a physical examination, using manual techniques to evaluate the condition of your PF muscles.
